Step Aside

I went to Culver's with Christine for lunch today. She got in line on the left, and I stood to the right. As I got to the counter and started to order I lost my train of thought. I proceeded to tell the cashier that I didn't know what I wanted. He told me to step aside since there were other customers in line waiting to order. Christine just finished ordering and her line was empty so I stepped over to that register and placed my order, just like I had intended in the first line. I chuckled. I've never been asked to step aside before! I found the whole thing too funny to get angry, especially since I was able to order right away. The flavor of the day must have distracted me.
